Asian Stylistics in modern interior design: original elements of Asian Style and Mood

Asian stylistic in interior design is eternal theme for artists and interior decorators.
Asia is the largest and most populous part of Eurasian continent of the Earth which consists of different countries, nations and ethnicities with different beliefs and religions including Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Confucianism, Taoism, Jainism, Sikhism, Zoroastrianism and many others as well. It's one of the world’s oldest and most ancient civilization of ourdays. Cultural and artistic traditions of Asia have have their roots in times long past and highly diverse and deep. When we talk about Asia we mean China, India, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Vietnam and others. Therefore, we need to keep in mind the diversity of cultures and multifaceted nature of artistic traditions.
Asian theme could be understood and interpreted broadly in context of interior design. Primarily it is the easten philosophical reflection and specific organization of living space with original characteristics and attributes. Asian stylistic in interior design may be presented in different ways, such as existence of authentic objects in contemporary interior: products of decorative and applied arts, antique things, modern handcraft and artisanal products from spesific Asian regions. But to my mind, more interesting direction is the author’s understanding of Asian artistic phylosophy and its individual interpretation in the context of modern industrial design. Many of famous mainstream furniture manufactures have a group of products with explicitly marked of Asian spirit. They are modern personal approaches to sensation and understanding of traditional Asian colors, ornaments, shapes, ideas, storylines and decorative compositions. Like a "new look" )) Like impressionism: we create a new items with Asian style based on our own feelings and emotions. Most of the following examples have a marked effect of Asian stylistic but some of these have just tiny hints of Asian artistic vision like literature allusions.
Here is some examples of original interior furniture elements of asian style from famous manufacturers and designers like Theodore Alexander, Baker, Currey and Company, Stanley Furniture, Roche Bobois, Moooi, Walter Knoll, Hickory Chair Furniture, Hooker Furniture, Koket, Johnatan Charles, Andrew Martin, Mis en Demeure, Memoir Essence, Barbara Barry, Caracole, Jonathan Adler, Stanley Furniture, Nuryba Decor and so on.

Mood of Vampires: Gothic interior design (Gothic Furniture)

Gothic is a period of middle age culture of XI-XVI century. This tremendous and magnificent style associated with crusades, obscurantism, witch hunts, pandemic of plague in Europe, the bloody struggle of Catholic and Protestant Churches, the Hundred Years' War (1337-1453), unprecedented construction of unique gothic churches, miniatures of medieval manuscripts, hand-made tapestries, shining stained glass (vitrages), Cologne Cathedral (Germany), Catedral Nueva de Salamanca, Milan Cathedral, Notre Dam de Paris, Kostnice (the Czech Republic)))) ... All basic art principles and art movements of that period in the history of art you can find in the works of Ernst Gombrich. He was a cavaler of the Order of the British Empire, his remarkable History of Art had many editions and translations and has light and elegant language understandable by millions ))
It is generally accepted to differentiate some popular meanings of "gothic" term: Goth is a german tribe, Goth is a barbarian for romans, Gothic is a style of the world history of art, Neo-Gothic is a style originated in England in 40th of the XVIII century, gothic literature. Nowadays, gothic means mostly films and music (gothic rock): Tim Burton'S Gothic Films And Style, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Streetm, Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, Dracula, Rosemary's Baby, Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles, Suspiria, The Woman in Black, The Wolfman and etc. Also popular gothic computer games like Gothic, Silent Hill, Disciples, Castlevania, Nosferatu and so on ))
Gothic style in interior design never goes out of fashion as well. Gothic furniture is first and foremost color and shape: black and red, dramatic and gloomy tints, gothic and baroque ornaments, gold and patina, silk and velvet, leather and natural wood, antiq and terrible view, vampire style, shapes of classic furniture and moden experimental shapes, powerful  and elegant forms. Here is some examples of gothic and vampire furniture from famous manufacturers and designers like Boca Do Lobo, Curreycodealers, Baker, Stately, Schnadig, Cassina, Curated Kravet, Maarten Baas, Ralph Lauren, Oly Studio, Colombo Style, Mis en Demeure, Jean De Mmerry, Christopher Guy, Lola Glamour and so on.
